Seattle Children’s Research Institute will name a building after Seattle philanthropist Jack Rupert MacDonald. MacDonald died in September, leaving a legacy of $187.6 million to be shared by Seattle Children’s Research Institute, the University of Washington School of Law and the Salvation Army. Seattle Children’s will receive 40 percent, or $75 million, of the gift, which was announced in November. Effective Jan. 31, the name of Building 1 will be changed to the Jack R. MacDonald Building.…
