Portland startup Opal is finally ready to talk about its fundraising activity that first surfaced at the end of 2016. The fast-growing startup raised $15.5 million in a Series B round led by Silicon Valley venture firm Accel. As part of the deal, Accel partner Arun Mathew is joining Opal’s board. Also participating in the round were existing investors Madrona Venture Group, Seven Peaks Ventures and MMC Ventures. The company raised an $8 million round in 2014 that was led by Madrona.
