50 Cent is taking his rift with Rick Ross to a whole new “legal” level as he has filled a law suit against the Maybach Music boss for jacking his “In Da Club” song and rapping over it to promote his new album, Black Market.

50 Cent filed the lawsuit in Connecticut which states that his hit song was placed on Rick Ross’s ‘Renzel Remixes’. Without his permission, and used it to generate publicity for his next LP.

Without a doubt this law suit is related to the beef between the two hip hop heads. As 50 Cent was slapped with a $7 million judgment for posting a sex tape with Ross’s baby mama in it.

According to the legal documents, 50 Cent is asking the judge to compel Rick Ross to pay him $2 million for using the track.

This lawsuit is awkward as rappers have been using beats from other artiste from time immemorial. Without express permission from the copyright owners, as long as it’s a mixtape and the rapper or singer doesn’t earn any money from it.

Although i’m sure the angle 50 will be basing his argument on, is that Rick Ross used the song to push his album. This means he made some monetary gains from using the song by 50 Cent.

However, it seems the “bankrupt” 50 Cent is just trying to make Rick Ross pay his own baby mama the money he (50 Cent) owes.

I hope for the lovers of good music that 50 doesn’t win this lawsuit because that means we’ll stop enjoying those amazing free mixtape albums. That we’ve all grown to love.
