MOUNT ARLINGTON, NJ, May 2014 — STORIS has been named the Best Place to Work in New Jersey for small to mid-sized businesses by NJBIZ. The Best Places to Work statewide program identifies, recognizes and honors New Jersey’s top 100 employers who are committed to employee personal growth, quality of life and business development. During the live unveiling of the results on Thursday, May 1st, STORIS was honored with the #1 ranking.

Since STORIS was measured against all types of businesses, the award is a reflection of all companies in the home furnishings industry and the value they bring to the market. The 100 companies honored were split into two groups: 62 small to mid-sized companies (15-249 employees) and 38 large sized companies (more than 250 employees). Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in New Jersey. Part one, worth 25% of the evaluation, consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. Part two, worth 75% of the total, was an employee engagement and satisfaction survey to measure the employee experience. Directed by the Best Companies Group, the analysis of the combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
