The countdown is on for the grand opening of Canada's first Nordstrom store, which opens at 9:30am on Friday, September 19. If you're looking to beat the crowds, Nordstrom is hosting an early morning 'Beauty Bash' beginning two hours prior to the store's opening. Between 7:30 am and 9:30 am, Nordstrom will host an event profiling the expansive beauty department of its new Chinook Centre store.
Nordstrom Beauty and Fragrance Director, Debra Redmond, will give the inside scoop on new products and trends, profiling the store's top names in beauty products. Complimentary consultations and demonstrations will be provided and according to Nordstrom, there will be some 'surprises'. We'll be attending Nordstrom's sold-out charity gala on the evening of Wednesday, September 17th. Later the following day, we'll post some photos of the new 140,000 square foot store, as well as our impression of what Nordstrom has planned for its Canadian locations. Chinook Centre's Nordstrom is the first of six confirmed Canadian stores, with locations to follow in Ottawa (Rideau Centre, opening March 6, 2015), Vancouver (Pacific Centre, opening September 18, 2015) and Toronto (Three locations: Toronto Eaton Centre, opening fall 2016, Yorkdale Shopping Centre, opening fall of 2016, and Sherway Gardens, opening in the spring of 2017).
