Windows

Option 1:

Press “PrtScn” (It captures the entire screen and copies it to the clipboard)

If you would like a screenshot of just a single Window:

Hold down “ALT” and Press “PrtScn”

Now that the screenshot is in your clipboard. Paste it in a document:

Hold down “CTRL” and Press “V”

If you would like to save the document just as a graphics file:

Go to Start

Paint

Paste Image

Save

Option 2:

Go to Start

Type in Snipping Tool

Click on New

Drag the area you would like a Screenshot of

Save



Mac OsX

Option 1:

Hold down “Command” and “Shift”and Press “3”

( This will capture the entire screen and automatically saves it to your Desktop)

If you would like a partial screenshot:

Hold down “Command” and “Shift” and Press “4”

Option 2:

If you would like a screenshot in the clipboard instead:

Hold down “Control” and use any of the combinations above

Then to paste the image into a document

Hold down “Command” and Press “V”

Ubuntu (Linux)

Option 1:

Press “PrintScreen” (This will take a screenshot of the entire screen)

If you would like a screenshot of a particular window:

Press “Alt” and “PrintScreen”

Option 2:
User- Interface option

Go to Applications >> Accessories >>Take Screenshot (It will give you the option to Grab the whole desktop, current window or select area to grab)

Click Take Screenshot

Option 3: Using GIMP

Launch GIMP

Go to File >> Create >> Screenshot

Select the desired “Area”

Click Snap

iOS

Press “Home” and “Sleep/Wake” at the same time

(The screenshot will be saved to the “Photos” application)

Android

(This applies for Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 and above)

Hold down “Volume Down” and “Power” at the same time

(The screenshot will be saved to the Screenshots folder in the “Photos” app)
