When people see a photo, they often don’t consider the work that went into capturing it. Photographer Colby Brown wrote a blog post on Custom SLR that talks about three photos he took while traveling, and proves there’s more to an image than meets the eye. Though Brown says he lucked out on the first photo of the monk, the two others required a lot of preparation. The hot air balloon photo in particular was very deliberate; he planned the trip months in advance and spent four days scouting out the perfect spot just to capture that image. While sometimes we do truly capture a “spur of the moment” image, often great photos require great planning. For the full story, visit Custom SLR.
