The Japanese national who changed the lion symbol in our national flag into a 'Panda'
A Japanese National who had tried to post a stock of post cards with the ‘Lion’ symbol in our national flag changed into a ‘Panda’ from the post office in Mt Lavinia. An officer who had dealt in this exercise had observed that the picture on the cards had a distorted nature. The Lion symbol in our National flag had been

distorted and the Lion image had been turned into a ‘pada’ symbol carrying a sword.
He had very wisely informed the police who had arrested the Japanese National. When his hotel room of the Japanese National SINSIR KAVISEEMAO was checked the Police had found a further 130 such greeting post cards. This post card had distorted the image of the our National flag which is of much pride to all Sri Lankans.
The Japanese national in defence had told that he had printed the greeting cards for the coming 2013 New Year and not with any intention of defaming and distorting the Sri Lankan National flag.
The suspect Japanese National was produced before the Mt.Lavinia Magistrate who had ordered him to be remanded until the 30th of this month.
