Jackie

(January 12)

We’ve waited a long time for this one, and what a way to start the year of films than with Natalie Portman’s portrayal of Jackie Kennedy (later Onassis). The trailers have already teased us with Portman’s brilliance, and as the weather heats up in Oz, so will the awards season in the US, with this film a front-runner. With a strong focus on the weeks following her husband’s assassination, this is the look into the most iconic First Lady we’ve all been waiting for.

If you’ve not yet savoured this new taste of Potter magic, it’s time to step away from reality and re-enter JK Rowling’s magical world. This new chapter (a prequel of sorts) will not disappoint, and with JK Rowling responsible for the script, the authenticity is well preserved.
