The Fraser Coast Regional Council in sunny Queensland recently installed some recycled plastic bollards along the Hervey Bay foreshore for use as beach access marker posts. These attractive, high-profile signposts also have a range of instructional and advisory plaques attached that serve to help keep the beach clean and users safe.

Alongside one of the new Replas markers there is a beach shower which has stood for a number of years. Its structure is made also using recycled plastic – bollards, profile sections and Enduroplank™ decking. The shower is still in great condition after years of constant use. Another case of recycled plastic providing the perfect solution for such public amenity installations in coastal areas.
