I know how much you guys like free crochet patterns and that is why I am excited to share with you a FREE mini crochet class by Drew Emborsky (aka The Crochet Dude)! This free online class is brought to you by Craftsy, an amazing website and resource for crocheters. I just finished checking out a free online class called “Amazing Crochet Textures!” After my kids were finally asleep, I found myself hanging out with my computer and crochet hook and got to work on one of the squares for this 12 square afghan. I started with a sample square to get the hang of the pattern but I fell in love with the ribbed texture and plan on finishing my own baby blanket soon. You can even take the squares to the next level by creating cables and adding beads – the detailed video will show you just how to do that!
There are so many valuable tips and techniques in this particular class. I especially loved the tutorial on how to begin your square with a chainless foundation – that information was priceless (literally and figuratively!) And the Craftsy community is fabulous.
