Welcome to mi casa everyone...
I'm so excited to be part of the 2015 Holiday Home Tour hosted by the talented Marty from A Stroll Thru Life. If you're visiting from Emily's home tour at Eleven Gables, I'm so glad you stopped by.
Today is a very special day because you too can hop onto the blog hop by linking your Christmas home tour at the end of this post! So, go ahead, link your beautiful tour and I'll wait for you right here. ;)

It's been almost five years since I decided to change the way my home looked, it's been a huge learning experience and this blog is where I share it all. From small craft projects to big room renovations we're making this house our home. My style it's been very traditional, a couple of years ago I was leaning towards the transitional side, using lots of black and bold colors, but lately I've been changing to a more traditional - farmhouse style and I think my Christmas home tour shows some of it.

Front porch | Boxwood Wreath | Red metal Luminaries | Wooden Planters

I was so glad to participate in the Home Depot's DIY virtual party where the front porch was showcased. A trio of boxwood wreaths created the focal point in my lil' porch. But, let's go inside!

A vintage sled holding the skates my daughter used when she was a little skater adorn the foyer.

The living room sports a new look. My previous project, the telephone advertisement sign replaced the gallery of old windows I had on this wall for a very long time. It feels a bit emptier but I thought it was time for the windows to go.

On the coffee table a vintage train car holds a little tree.

I hung another boxwood wreath in the adjacent dining room, I'm loving them, and I can use them year round.

Sphere Chandelier | Christmas Tree (similar) | White bowls

However, the thing I like the most in my dining room at this very moment is the sphere chandelier. It totally steals the show and it makes the room much brighter than when we had the previous light fixture!

Luminaries | Cake stand (similar) | Red wooden bead garland

The table is half done, as usual my white dishes are the ones to be used. As a center piece, the Epsom Salts luminaries make quite a statement.

Having a small kitchen, the holiday decor goes to a minimum. Some ornaments on the shelves and a small wreath on the range hood.

On the window sill a tiny pine tree I found on the yard makes me smile every time I'm washing dishes in the sink, it's the cutest! I'm planning on transplant it outdoors when it grows some more.

On the kitchen island a basket with pomegranates and a joy sign is the only decor I can handle there.

Bar Stools | Pendant Light | Kitchen Island

The breakfast table is the one we use the most.

Deer Salad Plates | Placemats | Table

I set a quick tablescape with these gorgeous plates by Better Homes and Gardens from Walmart.

A trio of bleach pine-cones as a centerpiece, and...

Wooden Dowel Tree

The wooden dowel tree, this time dressed in red with small wooden ornaments.

The napkins and silverware tied in a bundle. ;)

Coffee Table | Christmas mantel | Christmas tree

Onto the other side, the family room, the place we spend most of our time. This is the first year we have the Christmas tree right next to the fireplace and wow, it makes a huge difference. From now on this is going to be its proper place.

The cotton wreath on the mantel is one of my favorites, it gives nice texture to the whole scene.

Mr. Bear still keeping his post by the side of the Christmas tree.

Spot it | Frosted green bottle brush tree | Wooden snowflake stickers (similar)

On the coffee table a frosted bottle brush tree under a cloche, sporting the same treatment as the luminaries in the dining room with Epsom Salts.

This is also the season for board games at RLC, one of our faves is Spot it. It's so fun and it's good for little kids and adults alike, you just need to have a quick eye. ;)

Finally, I created a hot cocoa station, in what it's call: my LaundryRoom-BarArea-KitchenGaragePassageway - Phhhf so many titles to such little room! But oh well, I'm tickled pink by just looking at it every time I get home.
I'll give you more details about it on my next post because right now it's time for you to go to the next stop, my friend Linda from It All Started With Paint, you're gonna love her kitchen, and her living room, and ... Well, you're gonna love her home!
