Hi Friends! It is Kristin from Postbox Designs, and I’m so happy to hang out with all of these creatives at Remodelaholic today! I love scouring online to find inspiration for my dream rooms as much as the next person. But when you finally find a photo of the perfect space you have been searching for…then what? How do you take your dream room and make it into a reality? And one that will actually fit into your budget?
Today I’m going to help you tackle that very problem! I’ve been having a love affair with everything boho chic lately, and recently stumbled across this beauty of a room. I love how the room marries modern with bohemian, mixing stark elements like pure white walls with warm woods. Natural elements further warm up the space, making it feel homey yet still streamlined. And if you love it as much as I do, I tracked down all of the elements that make up this space. So you can easily re-create this for yourself at home!
But first…before I share all of the goodies, let’s get in the mood. If you want this look for yourself here are some of the ways to get the Boho Chic Look at home:
Tips for Boho Chic Style in Your Home Decor
Tip #1: Warm Woods Required.
Reclaimed, distressed, and natural woods rule. For the best look, pair it up with painted furniture as well, to create a layered look
Lonny
Tip #2: Go Bold.
Have some fun with color! Use pops of rich, warm colors such as orange, reds, and navy. The deeper the color the better. A great place to add this color is in a great rug.
Apartment Therapy
Tip #3: Mix old with new.
The boho look embraces the old (think distressed woods, patina, and mellow patterns) with new elements such as modern furniture. Pair up a reclaimed table with sleek Eames style chairs. Or in this eat-in area, an industrial light fixture with distressed furniture. The juxtaposition keeps it fun and funky-just what this style calls for!

Tip #4: Gold Rules.
Warm metals are an essential part of this look-try rose gold, brass, or copper. An easy way to incorporate this is in your light fixtures, but you can also use a tray or decorative accessories to thread warm tones through the space.
My Domaine
Tip #5: Tribal Patterns.
Look for rugs (the more patina the better!), throw pillows, or other textiles that have a global look to them. It adds to the dreamy, wanderlust feel of the space.

Like this look but want to make it more YOUR style? With just a few small tweaks you can take this room in a different direction.
If you like rustic farmhouse style: Keep the distressed table and replace the wishbone chairs with a more traditional black Windsor chair. And swap out the rattan light with a rustic chandelier
If you like modern style: Change out the jute rug for a bolder pattern-perhaps a black and white graphic rug. Instead of the global style mirror, try a simple round brass mirror.
If you like the more color: Start with this neutral palette and find 3-4 places to add in some color. Instead of the white faux fur throw, try some bright graphic pillows. Change out the neutral rug for a new rug with pattern and color. Even these classic wishbone chairs come in a myriad of colors-try bright red, yellow, or turquoise to bring some fun to the space.
