Whenever the Spirit of Anti-Christ is mentioned peoples thought immediately goes to the worst of end time conditions here on earth. It strikes fear and disbelief in most and causes the ears to close, eyes to shut and the mind to turn off to the reality of its presence. No one likes bad news and end time prophecy is the utmost worst of the bad news.

But the Spirit of Anti-Christ is at work now. It always has been at work. But it is now becoming more and more obvious, blatant and brazen around the world. News reports of a “Christian Holocaust” and “Christian Genocide” are a daily occurrence. Hundreds of thousands of Christians in the Middle East are being persecuted, forced to evacuate their homes and homeland and being murdered for no other reason than being of Christ.

What is the Spirit of Anti-Christ and how do we identify it? John in his epistles explains.

Spirit of Anti-Christ

“And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world” (1 John 4:3).

“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist” (2 John 1:7)

“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time” (1 John 2:18).

“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son” (1 John 2:22).

John in his fourth epistle goes on to say of the Anti-Christ, “They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error” (1 John 4:5-6).

John tells us that the Spirit of Anti-Christ is here now. According to him, here are the ways in which we can identify the Spirit of Anti-Christ.

1) Deny Jesus Christ has come

2) Deny Jesus as the Christ the Savior, the Messiah. To deny Jesus as the Christ would also deny his crucifixion and resurrection. It would then deny all of Holy Scripture both Old and New Testament for the entire Bible is about Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It would also deny all of Christianity.

3) Deny Jesus as the Son of God.

4) If Jesus is not the Messiah, is not the Son of God then there is no Holy Trinity.

The Koran, the scriptures for the Muslim faith qualifies as the Spirit of Anti-Christ. In the 4th Surah of the Koran titled, “The Women” in verses 157-159 it makes clear everything the Apostle John warned about some 600 years before Muhammad wrote it.

The Koran states that Jesus was not the son of God. It states that Jesus was not crucified and it states that there is no Holy Trinity. It claims that Jesus was just a human being and a messenger of “Allah”.

4. Surah An-Nisa’ (The Women)

157. And because of their saying (in boast), “We killed Messiah ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah,” – but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of ‘Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) ]:

158. But Allah raised him ['Iesa (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he is in the heavens). And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise.

159. And there is none of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), but must believe in him ['Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), as only a Messenger of Allah and a human being], before his ['Iesa (Jesus) or a Jew's or a Christian's] death (at the time of the appearance of the angel of death). And on the Day of Resurrection, he ['Iesa (Jesus)] will be a witness against them.

The Spirit of Anti-Christ lives on in the Koran. Islam is the faith articulated by the Koran. A believer of Islam is called a Muslim. There are two divisions or denominations of the Muslim faith, Sunni and Shia, These two sects have been fighting each other ever since the creator of the Koran, Muhammad passed away 1,400 years ago.

Some of the greatest World Leaders, Pastors, Ministers, Theologians and Bible Scholars of all times have been warning the world of Islam and the Muslim faith almost since the religion was started in the 7th century.

“The religion of Islam above all others was founded upon the sword … Moreover it provides incentives to slaughter, and in three continents has produced fighting breeds of men – filled with a wild and merciless fanaticism” (Winston Churchill).

“John Calvin in a sermon on Deuteronomy 18:15 maintained that Muhammad was one of “the two horns of antichrist.” In his commentaries on Daniel (7: 7-18), Calvin put forward the theory that the Muslim Turks were the little horn that sprang up from the beast” (George Grant)

“Ever since the religion of Islam appeared in the world, the espousers of it…have been as wolves and tigers to all other nations, rending and tearing all that fell into their merciless paws, and grinding them with their iron teeth; that numberless cities are raised from the foundation, and only their name remaining; that many countries, which were once as the garden of God, are now a desolate wilderness; and that so many once numerous and powerful nations are vanished from the earth! Such was, and is at this day, the rage, the fury, the revenge, of these destroyers of human kind”. (John Wesley)

“The precept of the Koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that Mahomet is the prophet of God. The vanquished may purchase their lives, by the payment of tribute; the victorious may be appeased by a false and delusive promise of peace; and the faithful follower of the prophet, may submit to the imperious necessities of defeat: but the command to propagate the Moslem creed by the sword is always obligatory, when it can be made effective. The commands of the prophet may be performed alike, by fraud, or by force” (John Quincy Adams).

Martin Luther observed from 1 John 2: 18-22 and 4: 1-3, “Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist–he denies the Father and the Son.” Of 1 John 2: 22 he wrote that Muslims “deny both the Fatherhood of God and the Deity of Christ–hence they are liars. They testify against the truth of God’s Word.”

Islam is the Spirit of Anti-Christ. Some of the more well known Islamic, Anti-Christ groups of today are the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), Al Qaida, Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, Boko Harem. These are are all Muslim organizations. They target and kill Christians, Jews and non-Muslims with the intent to take over the world and establish a caliphate or one world order of a theocratic religion and government.

It is time for Christians to wake up and to understand what is happening around the world. As John said, “We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error”

The world does not understand the Koran, Islam and Muslim faith is the Spirit of Anti-Christ at work. The world thinks in terms of government, religion and politics and not God and the Spirit. We have a spiritual battle on our hands so we must arm ourselves accordingly.

Pray! Read the Word! Ask God for guidance and forgiveness. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Have faith!

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance” (Psalms 33:12).

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him” (John 14:6-7).
