Last night I found my self browsing the webshops of some of my favorite affordable Scandinavian brands, but whilst at it I realized how little of you might actually know those brands and/or that they have webshops and ship worldwide (or do so through partners). If you like me love the simplicity and fashion-forwardness of Scandinavian fashion brands, but don’t always have the money to pay for the big names (think Acne Studios, Filippa K and Hope STHLM), you might love the 3 affordable Scandinavian brands I’m about to share with you. So without any further ado, these are the names of the brands I’m talking about: Bik Bok, Gina Tricot and Lindex.

Bik Bok
Bik Bok was founded in 1973 by two Norwegians and today they have 200 stores across Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Austria. A couple of years ago they launched a high-street collection designed by the Olsen twins, whose style I adore! I therefore was so bummed that back then they didn’t ship to the Netherlands, but fortunately they do right now! And although their Olsen twins collection is obviously not available anymore, their fashion forward collections are still worth it! You can’t shop directly from their site (unless you’re from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Austria or Germany), but you can shop Bik Bok at Zalando now. Yay!
Gina Tricot
At Gina Tricot they like to keep things simple and it therefore doesn’t come as a surprise that they actually started out as a basic tricot tops company (hence the name). They’ve now grown out to a one of Scandinavia’s biggest fashion chains. Gina Tricot has a very strong Instagram presence (as does Bik Bok by the way) and they have a very cool page on their website where you can find all the items they feature on Instagram.
Lindex
Although their logo might look a bit cheap and outdated, you should really give this store a chance. One of my favorite turtleneck sweaters (which I’m wearing here), which already is about three years old, actually is from Lindex and I still have people asking me where it’s from. They’re currently collaborating with style icon and actress Sienna Miller by the way, which I think is pretty awesome. Oh, and for all the moms out there: they also have a kids department.

Gisteravond was ik de webshops van een aantal van mijn favoriete betaalbare Scandinavische merken aan ‘t bekijken, maar terwijl ik dat deed realiseerde ik me hoe weinig van jullie deze merken waarschijnlijk kennen en/of dat ze webshops hebben en wereldwijd verzenden (of dat doen via partners). Als je net zoals ik dol bent op de eenvoudigheid en fashion-forwardness van Scandinavische merken, maar niet altijd het geld hebt om voor de grote namen te betalen (denk Acne Studios, Filippa K en Hope STHLM), zijn deze 3 betaalbare Scandinavische merken die ik zo meteen met jullie ga delen misschien wel iets voor jou. Dus zonder jullie nog langer in spanning te houden, dit zijn de namen van de merken waar ik het over heb: Bik Bok, Gina Tricot and Lindex.

Bik Bok
Bik Bok werd in 1973 opgericht door twee Noren en vandaag de dag hebben ze 200 winkels verspreid over Norwegen, Zweden, Finland, Denemarken en Oostenrijk. Een aantal jaar geleden lanceerden ze een high-street collectie ontworpen door de Olsen twins, wiens style ik echt geweldig vind! Ik was dan ook zwaar teleurgesteld dat ze niet verzenden naar Nederland, maar gelukkig doen ze dat nu wel! En ook al is de Olsen twins collectie natuurlijk niet meer verkrijgbaar, hun fashion forward collecties zijn het nog steeds waard! Je kan niet direct van hun website shoppen (tenzij je uit Noorwegen, Zweden, Finland, Oostenrijk of Duitsland komt), maar je kan Bik Bok nu wel shoppen via Zalando. Yay!
Gina Tricot
Bij Gina Tricot houden ze ervan om dingen simpel te houden en het is dan ook niet erg verrassend dat ze begonnen zijn als een basic tricot topjes bedrijf (vandaar de naam). Nu zijn ze uitgegroeid tot één van Scandinaviës grootste modeketens. Gina Tricot heeft een sterke Instagram aanwezigheid (net als Bik Bok trouwens) en ze hebben een hele gave pagina om hun website waar je alle items die ze op Instagram laten zien kan vinden.
Lindex
Ook al ziet hun logo er misschien een beetje goedkoop en gedateerd uit, je zou deze winkel echt een kans moeten geven. Eén van mijn favoriete coltruien (welke ik hier aan heb), welke ook alweer zo’n drie jaar oud is, komt van Lindex en mensen vragen me nog steeds waar ik ‘m vandaan heb. Op het moment werken ze trouwens samen met stijlicoon en actrice Siena Miller, wat ik best gaaf vind. O, en voor alle moeders: ze hebben ook een kinderafdeling.
