– Sinkane’s Life & Livin’ It is out today on City Slang. The press continues to roll in, with Pitchfork calling the album “Psychedelic-era Temptations cut with Blaxploitation grooves.” Stereogum declared it “Album Of The Week” and NPR stated Sinkane “distills AfroPop’s effervescence, the cheer of Stevie Wonder’s mid’ 70s classics and TV on the Radio art-punk eloquence into something grand and regal.”

– Chuck Prophet’s Bobby Fuller Died For Your Sins also came out today. The AP says, “[Prophet’s] at his best on ‘Bobby Fuller’….he’s a throwback who believes two guitars, bass, drums and a sense of humor make for great music, and he’s right.” NPR also featured the album its the latest First Listen.

– Watch Ty Segall ‘break a guitar’ live on Late Night With Seth Meyers.  His new album is out now on Drag City.
