On Sunday, Judicial Watch tweeted that it was good to see Tom Fitton and the El Paso Times taking the ISIS terror threat seriously:
However, when it comes to the rest of the media, there is nothing but silence.
Beyond Fox News and a handful of alternative news websites, few are mentioning the Judicial Watch report. The organization cited sources within the government that said an ISIS attack on the United States emanating from Ciudad Juarez is “coming soon.”
Government Focuses On Domestic Political Enemies, Not Islamic Terror
The FBI, in addition to tracking down who posted nude photos of celebrities on the internet, is concentrating on non-Muslim would-be terrorists. Its National Threat Assessment for Domestic Extremism doesn’t mention Muslim terrorists or the possibility of an attack launched from the southern border.
“The FBI’s most recent national threat assessment for domestic terrorism makes no reference to Islamist terror threats, despite last year’s Boston Marathon bombing and the 2009 Fort Hood shooting– both carried out by radical Muslim Americans,” writes Bill Gertz for the Washington Free Beacon.
The most prominent threat to America, according to the FBI and the government, comes from “eight types of domestic extremist movements – none motivated by radical Islam.”
“They include anti-government militia groups and white supremacy extremists, along with ‘sovereign citizen’ nationalists, and anarchists. Other domestic threat groups outlined by the FBI assessment include violent animal rights and environmentalist extremists, black separatists, anti- and pro-abortion activists, and Puerto Rican nationalists.”
According to the report, “lone actors” and “small cells” inspired by “anarchist, anti-government militias, white supremacy, and sovereign citizen extremists… will engage in lethal violence, although it is most likely the majority of violent criminal acts will continue to be characterized as serious crimes, such as arson and assault, but which are not, ultimately lethal.”
DHS, FBI, DOJ, State Police: Political Opposition in America Are the Real Terrorists
The absence of Islamic terror in the FBI assessment is hardly surprising given previous reports produced by the agency and the Department of Homeland Security.
In June Infowars.com reported on Attorney General Eric Holder’s “Domestic Terrorism Executive Committee,” a revamped version of Janet Reno’s post Oklahoma City bombing task force. It will include members from the FBI and Justice Department’s National Security Division.
“We face an escalating danger from self-radicalized individuals within our own borders,” Holder said in a video posted on the Department of Justice website. “As the nature of the threat we face evolves to include the possibility of individual radicalization via the Internet, it is critical that we return our focus to potential extremists here at home.”
“Holder pointed to a 2013 Congressional Research Service report that claims domestic terrorism has produced more than two dozen incidents since 9/11 as justification for the task force, specifically noting the Boston Marathon bombing and Fort Hood shooting,” writes Mikael Thalen.
The Department of Homeland Security has produced a number of reports warning patriot groups and others pose a threat to national security.
In 2012, the agency produced Hot Spots of Terrorism and Other Crimes in the United States, 1970-2008 (PDF), a document characterizing Americans who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority,” and “reverent of individual liberty” as “extreme right-wing” terrorists.
“While largely omitting Islamic terrorism – the report fails completely to mention the 1993 World Trade Center bombing – the study focuses on Americans who hold beliefs shared by the vast majority of conservatives and libertarians and puts them in the context of radical extremism,” writes Paul Joseph Watson.
In 2011, the DHS produced several PSAs, or Public Service Announcements, depicting non-Muslim Americans as terrorists. “Far from representing some superficial nod to political correctness, this is in fact a deliberate effort by the feds to characterize predominantly white, middle class, politically engaged Americans as domestic extremists. It’s all part of the agenda to frame dissent against big government as dangerous radicalism,” Watson wrote in August, 2011.
In 2009, Infowars.com reported on “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment,” a DHS produced document that characterized patriot groups as potential terrorists.
Prior to the release of the DHS report, Alex Jones and Infowars.com reported on a Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) document on the “Modern Militia Movement” dated February 20, 2009, that “describes supporters of presidential candidates Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin, and Bob Barr as “militia” influenced terrorists and instructs the Missouri police to be on the lookout for supporters displaying bumper stickers and other paraphernalia associated with the Constitutional, Campaign for Liberty, and Libertarian parties,” we reported on March 11, 2009.
The documents produced by the government demonstrate the establishment is more concerned about political opposition at home than Islamic terrorism abroad that has the potential of crossing over an unprotected border.
The Judicial Watch report reveals the possibility of a terror attack by a group that has repeatedly demonstrated its desire to attack civilians and military forces alike. The establishment media is now ignoring this threat.

Obama Attacks Republicans while Leaving Welcome Mat out for ISIS

The U.S. Border with Mexico is wide open; ISIS is beheading people with reckless abandon in Iraq and Syria. One of its victims was American journalist James Foley. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has said that ISIS poses an “immediate threat” to the U.S. thanks to growing immigration issues. The Obama administration is not only refusing to enforce immigration laws; it is facilitating lawlessness.
U.S. President Barack Obama compared ISIS to a “jayvee” team and then proceeded to tell the American people that he doesn’t “have a strategy” for dealing with the terrorist group in Syria. His strategy relative to the U.S. border with Mexico is apparently to make it easier for ISIS to enter the U.S. which, again serves his anti-Republican agenda.
When it comes to Republicans, there is no equivocation or ambivalence; Obama seeks all out defeat:
President Barack Obama used his Labor Day speech on Monday to slam Republicans for opposing an increase in the minimum wage, equal pay for women, affordable health care and more.
“Republicans in Congress love to say ‘no.’ Those are just facts, they’re facts of life. They say ‘no’ to everything,” Obama said to the crowd gathered at Milwaukee’s Laborfest.
The president began to outline his goals for working-class families, saying that he has “put [his] money down” on the middle class.
“I want an economy where your hard work pays off with higher wages, and higher income and fair pay for women, and workplace flexibility for parents, and affordable health insurance and decent retirement benefits,” Obama said. “I’m not asking for the moon, I just want a good deal for Americans.”
He continued, “Most of the policies I’m talking about have two things in common: They’re going to help more working families get ahead, and the Republicans who run our Congress oppose almost all of them.”
Even with the premise that people actually believe all that, should they not admit that at a minimum, Obama has an extreme case of misplaced priorities?
The enemies of the United States don’t need to divide and conquer. Obama is leaving the gate open for ISIS to enter through the southern border while dividing Americans at home.

Shoebat.com has just found the video of ISIS beheading American journalist Steven Sotloff.
ABC, while not having the video, said that the video “purportedly” showed the beheading. The rest of the mainstream media is saying the same thing. Well now we know for a fact that Steven Sotloff, like James Foley, was beheaded.
Some complained about showing the video, but this is naive and is irresponsible by the U.S. government and the media alike in which they for decades watered down the real threat that Americans face when they pussyfoot with Islam. Perhaps the only way to help people understand why we post the video is to explain the hard lesson that needs to be sent to people who only learn the hard way, especially the liberal type who are sympathetic to Islamic causes and think that a cobra is simply just another fish. Here is Sotlof’s naive and typical western lack of comprehension about Muslim fundamentalists which cost him his life:
As was the case with Foley, Sotloff appeared to be sympathetic to the causes of opposition groups in Libya and Syria (sounds familiar?) as well as the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Unfortunately, these American journalists like most liberals are often times far too willing to befriend Muslim fundamentalists who will turn on them.
In the days after the Muslim Brotherhood regime in Egypt was overthrown last year, Sotloff visited the site of the Brotherhood protests at the Raba’a al-Adawiyya mosque and wrote about the experience:
When I told my Egyptian friend Ahmad Kamal that I wanted to go to the Muslim Brotherhood protest camp in Nasser City, a pallid look gripped him. “Don’t go there!” he pleaded. “They are fanatics who hate foreigners. Americans like you are in danger there.”
After an hour of fruitless conversation over endless glasses of sweet tea, I rose, shook Ahmad’s hand, and headed straight to the lair where he believed I would be devoured.
But when I arrived at Nasser City, the picture Ahmad painted of long-bearded, club-wielding extremists bent on roughing up secular Egyptians was just as devoid of truth so much else in this divided country. Coups depicted as revolutions, peaceful protesters painted as fanatics, and disgruntled citizens hailed as revolutionaries have transformed Egypt into a circus where the main attraction is the uncertainty of heading into the unknown.
Was it “devoid of truth”? Its time for folks to listen up; this is Islamic fundamentalism which we warned you about for decades, and Soltof’s head is the result. Stop pussyfooting with cobras.
The full details surrounding Sotloff’s disappearance are not known but it happened about one month later in Syria and if he was willing to go to Raba’a al-Adawiyya in the days after Mursi was overthrown, there’s no telling what he was willing to do in Syria.
As Shoebat.com has reported, ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood are now fighting each other, not because of a difference in ideology but more over turf and what each side envisions as the model and leadership of any Caliphate.
In hindsight, Sotloff would have done well to listen to Ahmad, the man who pleaded with him to stay away from Raba’a al-Adawiyya. These journalists who don’t understand the mindset of the likes of the FSA in Syria (as Foley apparently did not) also don’t understand the stealth mindset of Muslim Brotherhood figures like Gehad el-Haddad.

While at the mosque, Sotloff interacted with a former Clinton Foundation employee and Muslim Brotherhood leader Gehad el-Haddad, who was the Chief of Staff to Muslim Brotherhood Deputy Khairat el-Shater:
Drawing on his vast knowledge of Western liberalism, Haddad explained how the military’s coup contravened the pillars of democracy. “President Morsi was elected by the people at the ballot box,” he noted, scratching his perfectly trimmed beard. “Only there can his legitimacy and position be removed. Not in the streets with tanks and machine gun toting soldiers.”
Haddad’s sentiments were echoed by those in the crowd albeit less articulately and more fragmented. “The people voted for Morsi,” 45-year-old teacher Sa’id Rashwan told me. “Why have a few now decided he cannot rule?’
Such frustrations were the main theme of the Nasser City protests. But others expressed puzzlement with the very fundamentals of electoral politics. “Is this how democracy functions?” asked a 38-year-old carpenter, Salim Moussa. “When people get mad at your president does he have to resign?”
Despite their indignation, Morsi supporters were adamant they would not resort to violence. “We have made our commitment to elections and democracy,” Haddad explained. “We believe violence neither serves our cause nor that of the Egyptian people.”
At the time, one of Sotloff’s tweets directed followers to Haddad’s twitter feed in order to get the Muslim Brotherhood perspective about what was going on in Egypt:
Haddad’s last tweet was on September 12th of last year. He was jailed soon thereafter as Egypt came under the control of Gen. Abdel Fatah el-Sisi. As Shoebat.com has reported on extensively, Haddad was an employee of the Clintons (Bill and Hillary) for years.
In a bizarre type of macabre foreshadowing, Sotloff ended his article with a paragraph that would ultimately prove his friend Ahmad right:
Ahmad refuses to countenance that the Brotherhood and its supporters have legitimate grievances. Such stubbornness is blocking the path to reconciliation Egypt desperately needs to extricate itself from its security and economic woes. And until Egyptians like Ahmad extend an olive branch to those in Nasser City, Egypt will continue to be mired in a zone of uncertainty.
In the case of Foley, as Shoebat.com reported, despite his support for the Free Syrian Army (FSA), a group affiliated with the FSA reportedly turned Foley over to his ultimate killers as a goodwill gesture.
As for Sotloff, he demonstrated a willingness to put himself in a very bad spot and attempted to ingratiate himself with bad actors.
When those bad actors are Muslim fundamentalists, betrayal should always be in the calculus.

War Propaganda Works: Large Majority Of Americans Now Want Military Action In Syria, Iraq
Complete turnaround on attitudes of one year ago

In a complete 180 degree turnaround, a sizeable majority of Americans now want the government to engage in military action in Syria and Iraq, following the brutal beheading of an American journalist, and other stories of atrocities committed by ISIS terrorists.
A YouGov poll released this week, found that four times as many Americans now support US led military action than oppose it.
The survey notes that 63 percent of Americans back airstrikes in Syria, while 16 percent do not. Just one year ago, as the Obama administration campaigned for military action in Syria against President Bashar Assad’s troops, the numbers were almost exactly reversed, as 60 percent opposed military action with only 20 percent declaring support.
Ironically, any US military action in Syria will be sold on the exact opposite reasoning, that militant Islamic rebels are taking over the country. Last year, US airstrikes were proposed to help the rebels fighting against the Syrian government.
The latest survey also shows that support for military action is spread across political divides, with 60 percent of Democrats, 60 percent of independents and 76 percent of Republicans declaring support for military action against ISIS.
“Attitudes towards the use of military force in Syria have changed significantly over the past year.” YouGov’s analysis of the findings states. “In September 2013, when a deal to disarm Syria’s chemical weapons was agreed, 62% of Americans opposed the use of military force while only 20% supported it. Today when asked whether they support the use of military force against ISIS militants in Syria, the situation is reversed.”
In addition, YouGov notes that “support for military action has increased significantly despite the fact that expectations of deeper US involvement remain the same.” This is due to the fact that the latest figures show 40 percent of Americans said that strikes would be the first step towards having US troops in Syria. In 2013, that figure was 45 percent, just a five point difference.
The flip in Americans’ attitudes comes in the wake of the James Foley beheading video being used by the government and the mainstream media as a poster child to reinvigorate support behind a military attack on Syria, almost exactly a year after a dubious chemical weapons attack was exploited for the same purpose.
As Infowars reported, top forensic experts have concluded that the alleged beheading was likely “staged” and that the footage in the clip does not show the execution of Foley. Despite this, the footage has continued to be paraded as a casus belli for expanding U.S. military operations. It seems that previous massive public and political opposition to America’s involvement in the region has now been offset.
In Iraq too, where support for military action has been consistently low and dwindling for a long period, a majority, 64 percent, now back airstrikes, with only 20 percent opposed.
Over the weekend, the Obama administration green lighted airstrikes in Iraq under the War Powers Resolution, which gives presidents authorization for temporary military action. Democrat leaders, including Sen. Dianne Feinstein, head of the Senate Intelligence Committee, also openly declared their backing for military action on the weekend news network shows.
