Salman’s tweets over Yakub: Protests erupt in Maharashtra

Bombay: Protests erupted in few places in Maharashtra over tweets Bollywood actor Salman Khan defending Yakub Memon, sentenced to death in the case of 1993 Mumbai bomb blast convict. Angry Shiv Sena workers blackened poster Salman Khan starrer “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” in Satara and interrupted the screening of the film.

There were also reports of the screening of the film that were discontinued in Mahad in coastal Konkan as protesters opposed defend Salman tweets Yakub Memon.

The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on the residence protested outside actor Salman Khan against his tweet in which he called against the hanging of 1,993 condemn Mumbai blasts Yakub Memon.
