Effective with the July 29, 2016 release of PCdb:
The three Transmission Categories (IDs 20, 21 and 28) have been consolidated into a single Category named “Transmission”. The previous CategoryID 20 was used for this consolidation. All PartTerminologies using the abbreviations “Auto” and “Trans” have also been updated to use “Automatic” and “Transmission” respectively. Please review the special Transmission Changes Sheet for details about the changes to Transmission related PartTerminologies. Additional PartTerminology consolidations will be conducted as needed in future releases of PCdb.
There was a sorting error in the July 2016 PCdb Notifications Sheet that caused some of the July 2016 PCdb Release Notes to be listed incorrectly. Any changes were performed executed correctly based on the “Corrected Record” section of the Notifications Sheet. The Release Notes and Notification Sheet have been corrected to align the notifications accurately.
