PALO ALTO, CA and ARLINGTON, VA, United States, via eTeligis Inc., 05/06/2014 - - AGNITiO, the global leader in voice biometrics, held for the first time in the nation's capital Washington D.C., its fifth AGNITiO User Club event coinciding with the Company's ten year anniversary. The event is a private, invitation only two-day meeting of select groups of law enforcement, forensics, and intelligence experts from around the world who meet to facilitate a free exchange of information, use cases, implementations and best practices regarding the use of voice biometrics in their respective countries. The 2014 User Club event in Washington, D.C. was AGNITiO's largest ever, with previous User Club events held in Madrid, Paris, London, and The Hague. AGNITiO has been working with law enforcement agencies and defense departments around the world for over a decade to help prevent crime, identify criminals and provide evidence in court.

AGNITiO's customers from 18 countries attended including USA (Department of Defense and Department of Justice), Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Mexico, the Middle East, UK, South Africa and Spain. Keynote presentations by several government leaders held a captive audience as did a number of workshops and lectures covering forensics, criminal id, government intelligence, and other related topics. One common theme focused on how voice biometrics aid in protecting citizens' privacy, while also improving law enforcement capabilities to fight against crime.

"Among the hottest topics were the legal and technological implications of using voice biometrics for law enforcement and court proceedings," said Emilio Martinez, CEO and founder of AGNITiO. "Our Voice iD technology has been vetted over a decade by defense departments and law enforcement agencies around the world who demand the highest levels of security and technological integrity. They continue to recognize the benefits of voice biometrics by expanding their operations with our Voice iD engine, which also helps us to further validate our leadership position in both government and commercial sectors."

A multitude of use cases and unique implementations were presented. Of particular interest was the sheer volume of acquired voiceprints and successful cases solved by using AGNITiO Voice iD. Implementations in countries such as Mexico and Spain were presented, including details on number of voice prints, solved cases, and future expansion plans. Key legal differences among various countries and the resulting extent and type of voice biometrics use in courts were explored in detail by forensic experts. One session discussed the use of Voice iD in prisons and how it is integrated into the telephony infrastructure to prevent crime involving inmates. Another workshop explored the use of voice in multi-modal biometrics databases as a powerful tool for law enforcement.

Discussions crossing both government applications and commercial use of the technology presented a lively and productive dialog. One such example was the use of Voice iD in mobile applications that originated as a government use case and was later added to AGNITiO's product portfolio for consumer device and enterprise customers. Further technology enhancements developed for the commercial markets are now available to be deployed for government customers. AGNITiO's ability to leverage and advance the same technology for both government and commercial applications is a powerful and unique differentiator in the voice biometrics industry.

AGNITiO has worked closely with police organizations around the world and is known for providing the highest levels of accuracy and security. The first technology renditions were developed working closely with some of the world's most reputable police forces. AGNITiO's strong background in government forensics paved the way for the company to launch KIVOX, a Voice iD product family targeted at the corporate sector that features the same levels of proven security. Now, financial services, telecommunications and other sectors are implementing new security solutions with AGNITiO's patented voice biometrics technology.
