Timsah Arena, shown as one of the world’s most exciting stadiums, opened with the participation of President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Bursa Metropolitan Municipality built the stadium that has 44 thousand capacity.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave a speech in the opening ceremony. He said he wishes success to Bursaspor, the football team of Bursa city. He added “Don’t compromise unity. We have four titles that are one nation, one flag, one country and one state.” He cut the ribbon in the opening ceremony with his wife Emine Erdogan, the ministers, mayor and governor of Bursa and thousands of citizens. There was a concert and fireworks before the opening match which was a show of two teams that are fames of Turkey and fames of Bursa.
Bursa Mayor, Recep Altepe, said “We are glad to complete the biggest project of the city which had 190 thousand square meter construction area. I thank to President of Republic for their 50 million Turkish Lira donation and to the other supporters of the construction. We searched the world for the best. We built the most modern roof system in our stadium that we found in Germany. This exciting building’s capacity is 44 thousand. It has 72 lodges and 90 gates that all people can go out in just 8 minutes. We also have 207 seats for disabled people. It has closed parking area for 644 cars and 2 buses. Also there is an open parking area for 912 cars and 254 buses. All the parking areas cover 100,123 square meters. The lodges depend from 35 to 190sqm. There is 789 restrooms and 35 food court. With stands, interior and exterior, link roads and metro station the project became really exciting. All the costs till today are 230 million Turkish Liras.
The project’s design has won International Property Awards with which is one of the most prestigious real estate awards in Europe.
