City of St. Clairsville, OH – St. Clairsville is located in East Central Ohio along Interstate 70. It is 10 miles from the eastern border of Ohio along the Ohio River. When traveling by automobile, exit Interstate 70 at exit 215. Port Columbus Airport is approximately a two-hour drive west. Pittsburgh International Airport is one and a half hours northeast of St. Clairsville. The drive from either airport is easy, convenient and scenic.

St. Clairsville Area Chamber of Commerce – The St. Clairsville Area Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization of businesses and professionals. Its primary focus is to support and promote business, industry, and the local community. The Chamber of Commerce acts as a spokesperson for the businesses and professional community and translates the ideas of its members into action. Their goal is to help local businesses market themselves effectively through the Chamber, especially by networking with other members and the wider community. We also host monthly luncheon meetings featuring speakers on business-related topics, business after-hours events where businesses invite their fellow Chamber members to parties to showcase what they do.  In addition to member-focused actives, the Chamber also participates in and sponsors community events including student academic achievement awards, political forums, and the annual St. Clairsville Christmas Tree Lighting and Parade.

Rotary Club of St. Clairsville – The Rotary Club of St. Clairsville, Ohio is comprised of about 60 leading business and professional men and women who get together at a weekly luncheon to advance the interests of the St. Clairsville area, to keep informed on key world and local, political, economic and social issues, promote high ethical standards in all vocations and serve the community and world – their motto is “Service Above Self”.  Meetings are held every Tuesday at Noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – Marian Hall located at 230 West Main Street in St. Clairsville. City of Barnesville, OH – The Village of Barnesville extends a welcome invitation to all to come to their town. For those of you have never visited Barnesville, Ohio……….you are in for quite a treat! Barnesville has much to offer….everything from shopping to having a picnic in their beautiful memorial park. They are also quite proud of the many historical features that make up Barnesville. Several of these historical attractions are open for tours. The last full weekend in September will find the town alive with pumpkins galore. The Barnesville Pumpkin Festival brings in around 150,000 people during this four day event. Belmont Career Center – As employment trends continue to show growth in the vocational and technical sectors, the Belmont & Harrison Career Centers offer state-of-the-art training to high school students to meet entry-level requirements into the job market or to further their education at the post-secondary level.  The Career Centers offer programs in business, technology, personal services, skilled trades, mechanics, and specialized areas. Most programs are offered to juniors and seniors. However, freshman and sophomore students who are unsure about a future vocational field may enroll in the Connections or Occupational Lab programs and gain experience in small engine repair, welding, drafting, carpentry and more.

St. Mary’s School, St. Clairsville – St. Mary’s Central School is a Catholic School with Pre-K to 8th Grade and is part of the Diocese of Steubenville. The school provides a secure environment for individual growth and well being, opportunities for parent involvement, and excellent communication among principal, teachers, and parents to facilitate student progress. Barnesville Exempted Village Schools – “It’s taken years of effort to get here. Now it’s working out for us,” smiles Angela Hannahs, principal of Barnesville Elementary School for the past six years. The Ohio Department of Education recently rewarded that effort by rating the school “Excellent with Distinction” for the 2009-2010 school year.

Barnesville Independent Elementary School – The school has been designated by the Ohio Department of Education as an “Excellent” district for the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 school years. They serve over 1100 students in 3 buildings. They describe themselves as a progressive district with a dedicated staff and board of education that make decisions based on what is in the best interest of students. Their academic endeavours are well supported by the parents of students and the local community.

Onley Friends School, Barnesville – Olney Friends School is a small college preparatory boarding high school for boys and girls in Eastern Ohio. Their strong academic program is nurtured by the Quaker testimonies of simplicity, integrity, community, equality, and environmental stewardship.

St. Johns Central High School, Bellaire – St. John Central High School aims to educate the whole person. They seek to facilitate the work of God’s grace in the integration of the spiritual, intellectual, physical, cultural, and social lives of each student. They are faithful to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and strive to produce mature men and women who will serve God and others in a spirit of charity and respect.

Bellaire Local School District – The mission of the Bellaire Local School District is to provide all students  with educational and social opportunities to become successful, responsible, and productive citizens in a diverse, global society.

Martins Ferry School District – The Martins Ferry City School District has a long and proud tradition of educating their students to prepare them to enter the adult world and become productive members of their community. Their achievement and graduation test scores have been exemplary, but continually strive for greater educational excellence.  The school seeks to challenge both teachers and students to improve in all facets of the educational process.  The staff hold themselves accountable to make sure that each and every child they service sees improvement throughout their educational career.  The school also insists that every member of their staff treat each student as if they were their own and accept nothing but their best efforts.

Shadyside Local School District

Union Local School District – The school is extremely proud of the progress the District students have made recently, both academically and on the athletic front. Their work is not yet complete but the school recognizes the efforts made to accomplish the little victories that no one hears about as well as the grand victories, both of which make everyone, young and old, walk with pride. The school appreciates the efforts of the parents, teachers, staff and students for their efforts in helping their district to continuously improve. Marshall County Schools, Moundsville – On October 19th, 600 music student representatives of Marshall County school music programs combined their talents to present a musical showcase. The program, “Creating Harmony though Diversity” was performed for a standing room only crowd at the John Marshall High School Center for the Performing Arts.  The concert was given as a celebration and appreciation of the citizens of Marshall County and the Niekamp Foundation for their dedicated support in providing diverse musical opportunities for the students in Marshall County.
