Thought I'd share my new project. It is a NightHawk 250 mini quad. One of the MANY mini quad clones out there now. I got mine (as well as the motors and speed controllers) from besthobbymall but these are all available from several sources. I'm using the multiwii pro I had from my ill fated ATG600 and while it is a little large for the frame it fits just fine. I'm using emax 1806 motors as well as emax 12A mini escs. I can say I didn't like the wires used on the motors until it was pointed out to me that you have burn off the varnish to have any hope at all of getting solder to stick! Have never seen wires like that!

These mini quads seem popular now so I thought I'd give one a go. Other than smaller components, a little harder to see when flying LOS (they are smaller) this is a blast to fly! I don't have any other quads that will go vertical quite like this little dude. The FLIP series of flight controllers (as well as CC3D and NAZE 32) are all popular as they give good control but also can exploit the power/weight ratio to do flips and the like. As an FPV platform you have to work to get everything in the frame (which is kinda fun) but flying is pretty surreal with all of that power!

As pictured here AUW w/FPV equipment is 550 grams. AUW w/out FPV equipment came in at 494 grams.
