This is  a sponsored post for Woolworths

I don't strictly celebrate Easter, but that doesn't mean I don't crave, buy and stock up on Easter eggs. In fact, the only downside about Easter is that the eggs aren't available all-year round, so like a person expecting the end of the world, I stock up on the white ones, and these favourites from Woolworths, which I discovered last year, and Instagrammed, tweeted about, and raved out (and of which I cleared out the Rosebank and Norwood branches).

Warning: these honeycomb bunnies are dangerously addictive owing to their deliciousness.

In the spirit of Easter, Woolworths is giving one reader a R500 gift card (entry details at the bottom). And if you haven't been in store yet to see their Easter treats, here's what you're missing - and you're just in time to stock up (just stay away from the honeycomb ones - they're mine!)

There are bunnies, glow-in-the-dark eggs for a night hunt, eggs with sweets, "grown-up" treats, bulk buys like hen's eggs in the box (great for Easter-egg hunts), and marshmallows.

Here are some of my best:

The Easter egg hunt

- And if you're hosting an Easter egg hunt - whether large or small - here are some tips to keep everyone happy and well stocked:

- Give the participants brown paper bags or baskets to keep their eggs in. You could even ask them to decorate and personalise them with paint, ribbons, washi tape and stickers.

- Cater for around 10 to 15 eggs per person. Remember to keep some aside in case someone is "low" on finds.

- Hide all the eggs. Make some easier to find for the little kids, and some harder for the older children. You could colour code them too so that the older kids know to leave certain coloured eggs for the younger children.

- You could do a lucky draw for a "special egg".

- Ensure you have some snacks and drinks for appetites and thirsts worked up after a busy hunt!
