Mark your calendar! The National Park Service is offering free admission to sites that normally charge an entrance fee during 10 days throughout 2017.
Many national parks are free every day, but 120 of them regularly charge fees between $3 and $30.

The fee waiver includes entrance fees, commercial tour fees and transportation entrance fees. Here are the fee-free days that you’ll want to plan your visit around:
January 16: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
February 20: Presidents’ Day
April 15-16 and 22-23: Weekends of National Park Week
August 25: National Park Service Birthday
September 30: National Public Lands Day
November 11-12: Veterans Day Weekend

In addition to the fee-free days, any fourth grade student can get a free annual pass as part of the Every Kid in a Park program. Free passes are also available to active duty military and disabled citizens.
