ACM Awards nomination day is almost like Christmas morning for country music fans.
Only it’s even better.

And fans who did wake up bright and early this morning to find out the nominees of the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards weren’t disappointed, with many new names finding their way to the top of the pack.
This year, Keith Urban is leading the way as the leading nominee with seven nominations, including the coveted Entertainer of the Year award. Trailing him closely are Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris, who are tied with six nominations each.
Other leading nominees include Tim McGraw and Florida Georgia Line with five nominations each.

Of course, there is nothing like the first time, and this year’s nominations have plenty of first-time nominees, including Maren, Kane Brown, Chris Lane, LOCASH, Jon Pardi, Cassadee Pope and Brett Young. The 2017 ACM Awards are set to take place in Las Vegas on April 2 and will air live on CBS beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
