‘Degrassi,’ one of the longest-running non-daytime television shows of all time, is continuing its streak on the streaming service responsible for Orange is the New Black and House of Cards.

The teen drama responsible for launching the careers of Drake, Nina Dobrev, Shenae Grimes and Landon Liboiron which was recently cancelled by TeenNick will continue its 15th season on the Family Channel in Canada and exclusively on Netflix in America.

Overwhelmed by the outpouring of #Degrassi love today – we feel like the most popular kid in school. @netflix

This is great news considering how hard it’s been to catch up on ‘Degrassi,’ formerly ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’ (originally aired in 2001), in the states. Very few base cable packages included TeenNick, and the only way to watch the show streaming was through the channel’s website pretty much as soon as the episodes aired.

The entire binge-ready ‘Degrassi’ season, ‘Next Class,’ which is described as “widescreen Snapchat” by TheVerge.com and will feature some existing cast members, will air on Netflix in 2016.
