Cross-border shopping at your doorstep

Are you a big fan of shopping in the U.S.? Have you wished you could live somewhere a little closer to a border crossing in order to shrink your commute time and get into the lineup ahead of the rush? Living in Aldergrove is perfect for cross-border shopping fans, especially when you settle into Cedar Landing.

Cedar Landing – our brand-new townhome development – is close to the Aldergrove border crossing – only an 11-minute drive, to be exact. If you’re a fan of shopping in the States, you know the Aldergrove border crossing tends to be less popular, meaning there’s a shorter line up to wait in than the rest.

Trimming the time it takes to get to the border makes the rest of your drive feel much shorter. Once you’re across the border on a good, traffic-less day, it’s a quick 40-minute drive to Bellingham and two hours to Seattle.

There’s another benefit to living close to the border. In fact, it can be summed up in two short words: Cheap gas. Living near the border makes is easier to pop back and forth to refuel your gas tank.

Many families also love cross-border shopping for the dent it makes on their grocery bill. Shopping for groceries in the US can be more cost-effective. Costco and Trader Joes are popular stops. And when you live as close to the border as you will in Cedar Landing, it’ll take mere minutes – 30 or 40, to be exact – once you get across the border?

Want to put us (and Google Maps) to the test? Curious to see how long it’ll take you to get from Cedar Landing to your favourite cross-border stop? Come and test it out for yourself. Grab your passport, stop by our Cedar Landing showroom, and then do a little cross-border shopping. While you’re here, we’d love to show you the place. Our showroom is open Tuesday – Friday, 3 – 6pm; Saturday and Sunday, 1 – 4 pm.
