The Little River Chapter of Trout Unlimited has long been in partnership with the fisheries department in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. All of the most ambitious accomplishments regarding brook trout restorations have been completed because of this cooperation.

The 2014 work schedule has been posted and you can volunteer for a day to help Smoky Mountain trout. It’s fun and informative. You’d be surprised how much you can learn in a few hours working with biologists on the stream.

Some of these events are more strenuous than others. Several events take place over several days, but you would only volunteer for a single day at a time. Anyone who is interested in contributing should contact Matt Kulp at Great Smoky Mountains National Park,  (865-426-1254) Matt_Kulp@nps.gov
