Dogs are most loyal and wonderful companions for their owners. However in certain circumstances, any breed can be aggressive. Even cute and calm pets can attack and bite. 1. American Pit Bull Terrier



There are many cool Pit Bulls out there, but most of them develop aggression towards other canines. They are generally bred as fighting dogs. While dog fights are illegal, many of the dogs still possess the traits of fighters. Because of their powerful jaws, Pit Bulls have been responsible for more fatalities than any other type of dog breed.

2. Rottweilers



This German dog is often bred as a police dog or guard dog. According to historians, Rottweilers have also been used as a farm dog, herding livestock and pulling carts. While they can be obedient and lovable pets, they have been responsible for fatalities as recently as this year. They develop aggression towards strangers and other canines and if they feel their owners are in danger, they can be aggressive.

3. Bull Mastiff



These dogs were initially bred to guard English estates and to protect the game keepers who managed the grounds. Because of its guarding instinct, it can aggressively behave if it feels its owner’s family is in danger. It can also be agitated if kids or teens are rough-housing or wrestling.

4. Chow Chow

This ancient Chinese breed looks cute and cool. It is not quite so, though. These dogs may not be as irritable as a Pit Bull but do turn on anyone that happens to rub them the wrong way. They were bred for hunting and helping shepherds. Moreover, they have been responsible for human fatalities so while they don’t appear as muscular or fierce looking as Dobermans or Rottweilers.

5. Doberman Pinschers

Dobermans are popular for their alertness, loyalty and intelligence. While they are very intelligent and powerful watch dogs, Dobermans are also known to be aggressive with strangers and other canines. They attack when they sense danger to its master’s family by others.

6. Huskies

Huskies are independent thinkers and can be dominant and quite stubborn. Huskies are believed to show aggression close to that of wild wolf. Even though aggression is rare in this breed of dog, it can happen. This breed is not recommended for new dog owners as it needs to be trained carefully.

7. Manchester Terrier

The Manchester terrier would be a good option for owners looking for dogs who are aggressive and alert. It is loyal and a good friend to its master. The Manchester likes to please its owner and gets trained quickly. They are good with other dogs and are generally accepting, but they will fight when challenged or when they feel their home has been invaded.

8. German Shepherds

German shepherds are undoubtedly the most beautiful and intelligent animals you could ever own. They are loyal, and if trained properly, will become your family member forever. German Shepherds are not naturally aggressive, and when they’re aggressive it means that it has experienced unhappy upbringing.
