'Tis the season for packing away the snow pants and sweaters, and hauling out the tank tops and sandals. We turn over our wardrobes and give our homes a deep cleaning, filling them with fresh air to welcome the coming of spring. Even our diets change as more fresh, local produce becomes available and we crave more salads and fewer bowls of hearty, warming soup with the warmer weather.
So, what about your make-up and skin care regime? As we move out of the season of freezing air outside and dry, recycled air inside, it makes sense to take a look at our skin and hair and start adjusting to new conditions. I tend to move to a lighter moisturiser, for one. And my hair is more likely to fall prey to high humidity than drying cold, so I need to consider that. A product like Pantene's Volume Triple Action Mousse is designed to keep fine hair like mine looking full of body, even in high humidity. And Pantene's Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo & Conditioner can help to undo some of the dry-air damage your hair may have suffered over the winter.
A big change for me is a shift away from foundation to wearing just a CC cream. As my face begins to see the sun again I find that my complexion starts to even out and get a healthy glow that needs just a little help rather than full coverage. I like Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 CC Cream for a great, even skin tone. Plus it has an SPF of 15 to guard against the harmful rays of the sun.
If you're looking to freshen up your beauty routine, check out these products and more at your local Shoppers Drug Mart. I'm at ours fairly regularly to stock up on everything from beauty products, to band-aids, to ice cream. Why do I shop there? Being really close to home certainly helps, as does the wide variety of products they carry, but their Optimum Points rewards program is a big reason. I signed up for this program when it first came out and have cashed in hundreds of dollars in points over the years. It's a simple way to earn free products at Shoppers, and especially profitable if you keep an eye out for their bonus events, like this one I want to share with you -
From April 25th to May 22nd Canadians can get 10x the Shoppers Optimum Points** when buying any of these P&G brands: Secret Clinical, Crest Brilliance, Olay Regenerist, Olay Luminous, Clairol Age Defy, Pantene.
If you're not already collecting Optimum Points, I can only ask, "Why not?" It's free, so be sure to ask about it next time you're in store.
