New Resources
Explore Blended & Personalized Learning Practices At Work, a collection of practical teaching and learning strategies that help to bring blended and personalized learning from theory to practice from The Learning Accelerator. Find this and other implementation examples in the Blended in Action section of the blended learning portal.
New to the portal are several resources added to the Professional Learning section:
A resource guide from Education Elements helps districts find the right mix of online and offline resources to support personalized learning.
A webinar from iNACOL about assessments’ essential role in the learning process as learning models become more personalized and competency-based.
An activity from School Retool which helps schools design a day to shadow a student in order to gain empathy and insight into their experience.
We also added two new competency-based education resources to the Blended Learning and Student-Centered Schools section:
Competency-Based Education Across America from Competency Works includes a map, representing a snapshot of competency-based education state policy, and a curation of competency-based case studies, which can be utilized as discussion tools.
Don’t Teach Grit. Embed It, an article on EdSurge by Michael Horn on how a competency-based learning system might support the development of skills like grit.
