More than 20 Texas schools will be waving a brand new 2015 National Blue Ribbon school flag on campus grounds. The National Blue Ribbon Schools program celebrates overall academic excellence as well as progress schools make in closing the achievement gap. Representatives from Texas’ winning schools will pick up their flags in Washington, D.C., on November 9. U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and his department will present them with their prizes.
