Dancefestopia is an EDM festival that takes place each year in Kansas City, Missouri. For one epic weekend, electronic artists from all over the map take over Berkley Riverfront Park and turn it into a playground for everyone from causal fans to enthusiastic P.L.U.R people. Whichever category you fall into, RageJunkie has compiled a list of six good reasons why you should find yourself in KC on September 11th, 12th and 13th no matter what part of the country (or world) you claim.
1) 2015 Marks The Biggest Dancefestopia EVER!
Let this sink in: three days and three nights of nonstop music. Dancefestopia 2015 is out to ensure that your bones are constantly vibrating from the bass. But that isn’t even the best part! The event’s website is promising a HUGE new stage, fireworks and showers for those of us who want to smell good while we rage! And take a look at the layout for their sweet VIP platforms. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy the show from a spot like this?
2) Berkley Riverfront Park Is Gorgeous!
If you’ve never raved next to a river, now’s your chance. I could just tell you how beautiful the spot for Dancefestopia is, or I could let the photo do the talking!
3) You Can Afford It!
General Admission tickets for the entire weekend start at $159. That’s three days and nights of constant music and solid interaction with likeminded individuals for less than the cost of, I don’t know…200 cheeseburgers? And if VIP is more your style, the three-day VIP passes are $259. Not everyone is made of money, and Dancefestopia knows that’s a terrible excuse to deny you a life-changing time.
4) Bassnectar, Porter Robinson and Datsik Are Headlining!
But hell, if the HUGE headliners don’t float your boat, there’s still a multitude of other artists who fall from each and every branch of the ever-expansive EDM tree. Personally, we’re excited for Keys N Krates and Son of Kick. Plus, Snails will be there. What about Zomboy!? In any case, there’s no shortage of amazing artists to make your experience worth it.

RageJunkie is based out of Atlanta, but this writer (Hi, I’m John) is a native of the Kansas City area. Take it from me; Dancefestopia’s location is one of the biggest things that makes it stand out from other festivals. KCMO is overflowing with friendly Midwesterners that will make visitors from other parts of Earth feel like they’re home.
