God hates Kim Davis. That’s what members of Westboro Baptist Church said while picketing outside the Rowan County Courthouse yesterday in Morehead. They believe Davis is violating her oath by refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples. They also call Davis an adulterer for being married four times. Church members only stayed for about half an hour before moving on.

A Monday morning injury collision at Russellville Road and Richpond Rockfield Road sent one person to the hospital. Jonathan Kristiansen of Rockfield was traveling westbound on Russellville Road when he crossed into the path of Kimberly Newell of Auburn. Kristiansen was flown by helicopter to Nashville for his injuries. He is listed in critical condition. Newell refused treatment at the scene.

Authorities have identified two people from Green County who were killed in a crash in Hardin County. The accident happened Sunday evening on the Lincoln Parkway; The driver of a vehicle rear-ended a semi that had stopped to make a turn. 31 year-old Tina Loibl and 52-year-old Robert Whitsell, both of Greensburg, were killed in the accident. They were both passengers in the vehicle that hit the semi.

The driver in a fatal drunk driving accident nearly 14 years ago, is finally going to prison. 36-year-old Ivan Vidakovic has entered a guilty plea to Manslaughter and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Intoxicants, for the 2001 collision that killed 45-year-old Kathy Lewis of Bowling Green. Bowling Green Police say Vidakovic had a blood alcohol level of .15, nearly twice the legal limit, and was going 92-miles-per-hour when his car hit Lewis’ car at the intersection of Central Avenue and Nashville Road. Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene.

Vidakovic’s sentencing is set for December 14 before Warren Circuit Judge John Grise.

Kentucky workers at the Toyota plant in Georgetown are producing the first Lexus vehicles in the United States. The plant is producing the Lexus ES 350 after a 360-million-dollar investment. The new line is expected to create about 750 new jobs.

Flu season arrives in Kentucky with the first two lab-confirmed cases reported by the Kentucky Department For Public Health. One confirmed case is in Kenton County, and the other is in Jefferson County. The DPH recommends that all Kentuckians get a flu vaccination as soon as possible. Adequate supplies of flu vaccine are expected to be available.

Taylor Swift will leave thousands thrilled at Rupp Arena but she could also leave the Kentucky Wildcats cursed. Several sports teams have fallen victim to what’s being called the Taylor Swift Curse. The Houston Astros re-scheduled Swift’s concert because of a playoff game, a game the Astros lost. NFL teams that have hosted Swift are now 28-and-29 this season. NBA teams that have hosted Swift have suffered significant injuries to star players. Tonight’s sold-out concert starts at 6:00.

SPORTS: The Blue Jays have trimmed the Royals’ lead in the American League Championship Series; the outslugged the Royals, 11-8, in Game Three in Toronto. KC now leads the best-of-seven series two-games-to-one. Game Four is today.

—After an off-day, the National League Championship Series resumes tonight in Chicago. The Cubs host the Mets in Game Three of the best-of-seven series at Wrigley Field.

—The Eagles moved into first place in the NFC East with a 27-7 win over the Giants on “Monday Night Football.”

—Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota is dealing with a sprained MCL in his left knee. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt said his status for Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons will be determined later in the week.
