The Department of Environmental Conservation has given further confirmation that the mud around from the AIMM Technologies Monofil site in Nikiski is safe. The DEC’s Nathan Emery explains…
Emery: “They haven’t even constructed the monofil itself, so there should be no drilling waste on site present, certainly not disposed of there.”
Emery said the mud in the area is likely related to the construction currently being done in preparation for the site’s future operations.
