to All-News 1120 News Now on Saturday, July 4. The daytime only signal will
feature 15 minute blocks including ABC News, local reports from Bob
Yarborough, Seth Stokes and Chris Lash, traffic, weather, and Sports
updates from sister 1180 The VLZ. Knoxville, TN based radio station 1120

Art Suttons Georgia-Carolina Radiocastings has taken Country 96.7 WSGC
Tignall, GA silent. WSGC is the second station in the market the company
has taken dark following sister 1400 WSGC/105.3 W287CM Elberton. Citing
weak economic conditions in the market, the company states their inability

Seven Mountains Media will flip Rock Eagle 98.7 WEMR to Adult Alternative
on Friday, July 3. The newly minted 98.7 The Freq (pronounced Freak) will
be positioned as College Radio All Grown Up. New WFEQ call letters have
been requested. The Centre Daily Times reports that The Freq plans to
promote local artists and is taking submissions already. Seven Mountains
Media acquired WEMR as part of two cluster acquisitions it made last
September. The Active Rock format and Eagle branding have been in place on
the station since August 2011.

Valley 105.1 Launches In Palm Springs

Sunnylands Broadcasting has launched Classic Hits Valley 105.1 KVGH North
Shore/Palm Springs, CA. After testing/stunting with Christmas music, the
new format is focusing on pop hits of the 1960s and 70s. KVGH is being
programmed by Broadcast Partners Ken Moultrie. The new format will go up
against RR Broadcasting Oldies 98.5 KDES and Alpha Medias Classic Hits
106.9 The Eagle KDGL. KVGH is the former 105.3 KQCM Twentynine Palms. It is
not done with its planned moves. KVGH applied last week for a
city-of-license change to Bermuda Dunes and a move to the tower utilized by

Wild 101.1 Boise Adds Second Signal

Impact Radio Group Rhythmic CHR Wild 101.1 KWYD Parma/Boise has added a
second signal. 101.5 K268CU Eagle has signed-on with 250 watts at 71 meters
from Table Rock Mountain just east of the city (Coverage Map). The station
says the signal will remove holes in the stations coverage in downtown
