Before performing “FDT,” YG invited four attendees–three men and a woman–up on stage to take a swing at “Trump.” YG had a pretty large and long piñata of Trump strung from the stage’s rafters. After everyone went at the papier-mâché lookalike and ripped it to shreds, they began picking up the pieces strewn across the staging and batting them out into the audience. The crowd reacted with exuberant cheers before YG came back on to rap (via Complex).
The rapper hasn’t been quiet when it comes to his feelings for Trump. But he’s not alone. Several in the hip-hop community, from Rick Ross to Mac Miller, have been incredibly vocal about Trump’s divisive political stance. Still, speaking out against a political candidate is one thing while bashing an effigy’s face in is quite another. It will be interesting to see what Trump’s supporters or those on the right have to say about this, if anything.
