Last year, acclaimed indie-rock trio Sleater-Kinney announced they were reuniting after a nine-year hiatus. Not only is there now a new album, No Cities to Love, but the three players are hitting the road this spring. The tour kicks off Feb. 8 in Spokane, Washington with further stops this month in Denver, Boston, Chicago and New York, among other cities. Playing live, Carrie Brownstein told Radio.com, is “when it all feels real. That’s when the songs start to take on a new shape. A lot of times in the past these songs had already been played live before we recorded them, and none of [our new songs] have really seen the light of day. For all of us, that’s really where we’re headed towards.”
