Big beat boss Bassnectar is preparing a new full-length album for the summer, and has delivered a preview of what to expect in the form of “Now,” a song featuring Baltimore MC Rye Rye that’s available for free download on his official website and Soundcloud page.
The track pits Rye Rye’s vocals against a high-energy trap beat and a melodic breakdown that allows the MC to show off her singing chops.
While the upcoming new album has yet to receive a title, it’s set to hit your favorite music retailer on June 24.
A press release promises that more details are imminent.
The tireless DJ/producer will be hitting the road hard this summer, with a slew of tour dates including appearances at the Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, Illinois, May 23-25, zipping over to Electric Daisy Carnival that same weekend.
He’s also headlining a pair of sold out shows at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and is on the power-packed bill for this year’s TomorrowWorld fest outside Atlanta, Georgia, scheduled for Sept. 26-28.
