The Zac Brown Band will kick off the Great American Road Trip Tour this May in Nebraska. The bandmates will also introduce fans to their newest member, bassist Matt Mangano.

While Mangano will be hitting the road with the guys this summer, this isn’t his for time around with the group. Mangano has performed with the band several times, in fact, and he was even featured on the ZBB’s first live CD/DVD Pass the Jar… in 2010.

As Mangano wrote in a statement, he and Brown first more than a decade ago, then reconnected in 2008 “when he asked me to help him work on the three records that would be the foundation of Southern Ground Artists. That job led to a full-time position working for SGA, recording and producing music. In early 2012, I helped Zac with the founding of Southern Ground Nashville, one of Nashville’s finest recording facilities.”

“We’re always growing as musicians and challenging ourselves to bring new things to our fans,” Brown said. “Hop is an amazing talent and I can’t wait for people to see what we’ve got coming for the live show.”

Kacey Musgraves will also join Zac Brown Band as support throughout their summer tour, which begins in Lincoln, Neb. and includes stops in Tampa, Charlotte, Forest Hills, NY, and Boston, where they’ve sold out two shows at Fenway Park. A complete list of dates and cities is below.
