Welcome to Working It, where Racked follows street style into the office.

The Outnet may be a discount site, but its sale merchandise doesn't have much in common with what you'll find in the bins at Century 21. While a chunk of the site's ready-to-wear, accessories, and shoes come from sister site Net-a-Porter, the bulk of it is cherry-picked by a team of eagle-eyed buyers who work directly with brands and major retailers to find a home for last season's Chloé, Balmain, and Alexander Wang. After the jump, take a look at what the people behind "the most fashionable fashion outlet" wear to work.

Shira Suveyke, Vice President of Global Buying, is wearing a 3.1 Phillip Lim dress, an Oak leather jacket, Miu Miu shoes, a Diane Kordas necklace, a Jennifer Fisher choker, Melissa Joy Manning earrings, a Rolex watch, and rings by Maria Black and Hidalgo.

What brand do you get the most excited about when it goes on sale?

Isabel Marant—I covet her designs season after season!

What will you not buy on sale?

I'll never purchase a sale item if it doesn't fit, no matter how good the price.

What was your biggest splurge this past year?

Last spring, on a market trip to Los Angeles, I splurged on a vintage Rolex I found at a shop on Melrose Place.

What's your typical office uniform?

In the warmer months, I'll wear a sheath dress with a leather jacket for the perfect day-to-night look. During winter, I like to cozy up with an oversize sweater and a great pair of leather pants.

What are your beauty must-haves?

The ultimate indulgence is Tracie Martyn's resculpting facial treatment. It's the only way to cope with the side effects of non-stop global travel.

What's your New Year's style resolution?

This year is all about effortless style. I'm going to focus on keeping my look simple, carefree, and chic in 2015—and perhaps wear slightly lower heels!

Where else besides the Outnet and Net-a-Porter do you like to shop online?

I love 1stDibs for vintage and eclectic home furnishings.

Ashley Smith, Senior Retail Coordinator, is wearing a hand-embroidered top purchased from a vendor in India, Iris & Ink pants that are exclusive to The Outnet, Alexander Wang shoes, Maria Black and Mono earrings, and an Eddie Borgo necklace and ring.

What was your biggest splurge this past year?

A two-week holiday in Kochi, India. It was magical.

What brand do you get the most excited about when it goes on sale?

Delpozo.

What's your typical office uniform?

I don't wear a uniform—every day is a surprise and a reflection of how I feel that morning. I love the casual atmosphere in our offices. It allows me to express my individual style.

What will you not buy on sale?

Something that's not flattering or damaged.

What scores do you always brag about?

I always look forward to the Opening Ceremony sample sale. I never leave without a few exciting pieces.

What's your New Year's style resolution?

To edit my closet and only invest in staple items with longevity. I'm such a whimsical shopper, I often get carried away. I'd like to only purchase pieces that add value to my wardrobe this year.

What are your beauty must-haves?

Coconut oil and honey. I moisturize my body and hair with coconut oil and it smells delicious. It's tough to combat the harshness of New York City. The honey helps to keep my skin supple.

Where else do you like to shop online?
Z Gallerie. I love all things interior design.

Ryan Hernandez, Associate Buyer for Contemporary Ready-to-Wear, is wearing a Sacai shirt, an Edun vest, Jil Sander pants, Alexander Wang boots, a Prada watch, an Eddera ring, an A.L.C. nail ring, and A Peace Treaty ring.

What will you not buy on sale?

Beauty and skincare products.

What brand do you get the most excited about when it goes on sale?

R13 and Sacai. Part of what makes those brands special is their limited distribution and how uniquely each retailer assorts their buys, so I feel like it's an exciting scavenger hunt when they go on sale.

What's your typical office uniform?

At the moment, a chunky knit, wool pants, and black or brown boots. I usually have a black or brown briefcase for buying appointments. In the warmer months, I live for a good pajama shirt and black leather espadrilles.

What score do you always brag about?

I got a pair of Oak leather joggers at 70 percent off in the Net-a-Porter sale last spring.

What was your biggest splurge this past year?

Emotionally, a pair of Opening Ceremony x Magritte Birkenstocks that got thrown a lot of shade last summer. Financially, a saddle brown Proenza Schouler PS11 with matte black hardware that I was eyeing for a while. Since I have a smaller frame, at least 50% of my wardrobe is technically women's, but I believe all fashion is unisex.

Where else do you like to shop online?

Mr. Porter, Ssense and COS. I also love browsing The Line and La Garçonne for inspiration.

What are your beauty must-haves?

Since beauty sleep is rare these days, Clarins for Men anti-fatigue eye serum, Tata Harper rejuvenating serum, and Baxter of California hair pomade. I also can't get enough of Malin + Goetz Dark Rum perfume oil.

What's your New Year's style resolution?

I'd like to be more thoughtful in my purchases—even the impulse buys—by spending less on fast fashion pieces and saving more for meaningful investment pieces and vacations.

Kristina Shiroka, Buyer for Non-Apparel, is wearing a Iris & Ink jumpsuit that's exclusive to The Outnet, an Isabel Marant jacket, Bottega Veneta shoes, and a Dara Ettinger ring.

What was your biggest splurge this past year?

Marni jeweled leather sandals. At first I thought they were an irresponsible purchase, but I wore them all summer. I also went a little crazy at Clare Vivier on a recent buying trip to Los Angeles. I'm obsessed with her minimalist but playful designs.

What will you not buy on sale?

Ripped boyfriend jeans. I own way too many pairs...or maybe not enough.

What's your New Year's style resolution?

Buy more vintage! My most recent prized acquisition is a fuchsia cropped box jacket from Valentino.

What score do you always brag about?

My Chloé Marcie mini. I got it for 70 percent off! And I wear it constantly.

What's your typical office uniform?

Boyfriend jeans dressed up with a Helmut Lang blazer or dressed down with Raquel Allegra, depending on the day and meeting schedule.

What brand do you get the most excited about when it goes on sale?

Isabel Marant.

What are your beauty must-haves?

I keep it pretty minimal. I like Mario Badescu skincare products and Kérastase shampoo, which is actually worth the splurge. I often wear only mascara and blush, but love Ilia lipstick in Voilà or NARS lip pencil in Lodhi if I want a fun pop of color.

Brittany Bennett, Assistant Merchandiser, is wearing a Theory top, a Zac Posen jacket, Jimmy Choo boots, Melissa Joy Manning earrings, a Larson & Jennings watch, and rings and bracelets from her family.

What was your biggest splurge this past year?

I treated myself to some jewelry from Melissa Joy Manning. I just love how delicate her pieces are, and they are such an investment. They're something I can keep going back to and will love.

What will you not buy on sale?

I don't rule out much—I'm such a sucker for sales!

What scores do you always brag about?

Our Isabel Marant and Étoile sales are the best! So many good finds. I bought a blue floral Étoile dress that I can wear season after season.

What brand do you get the most excited about when it goes on sale?

Jonathan Simkhai. I love what he's been doing these past few seasons.

What are your beauty must-haves?

I'm a beauty junkie! I love Aesop products. They're plant-based and cruelty-free! The hand sanitizer is great for New Yorkers who are on and off the subway. Klorane dry shampoo is also a staple, as is Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, Oribe shampoo and conditioner, and Tom Ford lipsticks. They're non-drying and have great pigmentation—Casablanca is my favorite shade.

What's your typical office uniform?

You can usually find me in some leather pants and an Equipment blouse. But let's be honest, we all have those days when we roll out bed with messy hair and grab the nearest jeans and oversized sweater off the floor.

What's your New Year's style resolution?

For every item I buy, I'll get rid of one thing I haven't worn in a while.

Where else do you like to shop online?

Amazon for books, vitamins, kitchenware, and yoga gear. One Kings Lane has the best finds for home.

Andres Betancourt, Junior Public Relations Assistant, is wearing a Thom Brown oxford, a Tomorrowland sweater, Acne Studios jeans, Adidas shoes, a Loewe leather pouch, and a Rolex watch.

What brand do you get the most excited about when it goes on sale?

I have a problem with candles. If I ever find Cire Trudon or Diptyque on sale, I'll buy it in bulk.

What will you not buy on sale?

Some people are really good about buying out-of-season items, like outerwear during the summer because it's on sale. I tend to be impatient, so if I'm sale shopping, I like it to be for something I can wear right away.

What score do you always brag about?

I got a pair of black patent Saint Laurent derby shoes at 70 percent off a week before I had a black tie wedding! The timing was impeccable.

What was your biggest splurge this past year?

Nothing really stands out as a splurge, but I'm definitely an impulse shopper, so if I add up all the small poorly planned purchases I've made, it amounts to quite a hefty sum.

What's your New Year's style resolution?

To get dressed up more often! Sadly I haven't worn the derbies since the wedding.

What's your typical office uniform?

It's usually some variation of black denim, a chunky knit, and sneakers or boots. Knitwear is definitely my favorite category, so I always get excited for the fall/winter season. In the summer I love to brighten things up—I'll wear shorts if I'm feeling spontaneous!

What are your beauty must-haves?

My staples are Dermalogica face wash, Oribé shampoo and conditioner, and Baxter clay pomade. Byredo Sunday is my new fragrance, and right now I moisturize with REN Skincare products. I tend not to commit to a skincare regimen. I have a close friend who's a beauty buyer and I'm always bugging him for samples, so I usually just take what I can get.
