Indoor mountainbiking

While your New Year's fitness resolution may be jogging on a treadmill every once in a while, or getting up during commercial breaks, some people think much bigger. In the Ukraine, for example, bodybuilders can bulk up on a six-mile-wide open air gym that's essentially a converted junk yard. In California, yoga enthusiasts can hang upside-down like something out of Cirque du Soleil. After the jump, take a gander at 12 playgrounds for fitness addicts around the world. The Third Space

At first glance there's nothing too out of the ordinary here, until you venture into the facility's famous hypoxic chamber. Hit any one of a number of treadmills, bikes, etc., inside this chamber, and the air is slowly sucked of its oxygen while you work out. The idea is that with less oxygen in the air, your body will be forced to work harder to produce and pump oxygen to your muscles, giving you a better work out without the added extra time. Fear of death aside, it's efficiency at its best.
