Denby does it again, gets second straight USRA Limited Mod win at Royal Purple Raceway
BAYTOWN, Texas (Nov. 16) — The 7th Annual Lecolift Texas Winter Nationals presented by 4s Motorsports wrapped up Saturday night at the Royal Purple Raceway, and Tracy Denby Jr. wrapped up his second USRA Limited Mod win in as many nights.
In a repeat of Friday’s performance, the 27-year-old from Vidor, Texas, earned the pole position and then out ran the field for the entire distance in the main event.
The 25-lap feature race win was worth $1,500 to Denby, who added to his $1,000 prize from Friday night.
Houston’s Garrett Higgins posted his second top-five finish of the weekend with a runner-up result Saturday night. Cade Dillard, Thursday night winner John O. Whittington and veteran Howard Willis rounded out the top five.
Six was Eddie Martin, seventh went to J.J. Jennings, the eighth spot was Derick Grigsby, Collin Hodges nabbed ninth and Kevin Dupont took the tenth position.
