The Racine County Eye a new NEWS Agency to Racine County is reporting that there is a Sex Offender Meeting for Mt. Pleasant residents on Wed., Nov. 6 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the 16th Street COP House, 1900 16th Street.
According to a press release from Village Of Mt. Pleasant Police Department, three convicted sex offenders will be released the week of Nov. 11.
Two of them – Troy Christensen and Jason Dexter – will be under the supervision of the Department of Corrections and will live in the 2100 block of Racine Street before being relocated to more permanent residences.
Christensen, 43, was convicted in 2002 of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. In 2004, he was convicted of first degree sexual assault of a minor.
Dexter, 31, was convicted in 2004 of second degree sexual assault of a child and convicted in 2009 for failing to maintain sex offender registry.
Both Christensen and Dexter assaulted minor females known to them.
Willie Wilson, 53, will no longer be under DOC supervision at the time of his release. He does not have an address on file, according to the MPPD release, and is considered homeless but still required to follow the sex offender registry program and participate in GPS monitoring.
Wilson’s last conviction listed in the press release is a second degree sexual assault charge from 1989. He has been in and out of prison since 1978.
Mount Pleasant Police remind citizens who will attend:
“At the meeting representatives from the Mt. Pleasant Police Department, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Racine County District Attorney’s Office, and Racine County Victim Witness Assistance Program will be presenting some information and/or will be available to answer questions. Adult subject matter will be discussed at the meeting. Therefore we ask that ONLY adults attend.
