Fort Mill, SC – September 26, 2013. The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) raced under the bright lights of Las Vegas for Rounds 13 & 14. Team GT had an excellent showing posting five podium finishes including two wins by short course guru, Carl Renezeder. For two nights fans were given a show that would give any show on the Vegas strip a run for their money, and red letter GRABBER’s were a star.

Friday night’s Pro-4 race saw Renezeder go toe-to-toe with Kyle LeDuc until the checkered flag dropped. Renezeder edged out LeDuc at the line for his first of two wins on the weekend. Meanwhile, in Pro-Lite competition, Casey Currie drove his Monster Energy machine to a third-place finish and in Pro-2, Team GT standout, Robby Woods, suffered heartbreak as he engaged in a hard-fought battle for the win. After leading late in the race, Woods suffered a mechanical issue that, unfortunately, would not be the end of his bad luck. Renezeder picked his way through the field to post a third-place finish.

The racing on Saturday night was just as spectacular as Friday. There were tears, cheers and whole lot of stand-up-in-your-seat racing that all started with the Pro-2 class. It was Renezeder who jumped out to the early lead with a rearview mirror full of Team GT teammate Woods. Woods passed Renezeder for the lead on lap five and the two pulled away from the field. Woods was the class of the field, driving a flawless race until the third turn of the final lap when his transmission broke, forcing him down pit road. Woods misfortune turned into another win for Renezeder. While the sweet taste of victory continues to elude Woods, his tenacity, dedication and talent shined bright at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and he is certainly well on his way to many victories in the near future.

In Pro-4 action, Renezeder posted a second-place podium bringing his podium total to four on the weekend. Renezeder’s first and second-place finishes in Pro-4 racing also solidified his ninth career short course championship.

“My General Tires were hooked up and flawless this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Rounds 13 & 14,” said Renezeder following the race. “They were a huge advantage for us in securing the Pro-4 Championship this weekend in Vegas.”
