Age Limit
Candidates should have attained the age of 18 years but should not have exceeded 30 years, 40 years for Government servant serving in other Govt. Department, 45 years for person working on Adhoc/ Contract/ Co-terminus. Age Relaxation is applicable for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess Degree from a recognized University with Hons for major language group i.e. Nepali, Hindi & have Sikkim State Teachers Eligibility Test (STET) certificate.

Candidate must be in possession of either Sikkim Subject Certificate or Certificate of Identification issued by the competent authority under relevant orders of the State Government. Should have valid Local Employment Card. Should be conversant with the customs and tradition of Sikkim
Should have knowledge of any of the State Languages.
Selection Process
There will be Preliminary Examination followed by written examination and interview for the selection of suitable candidate. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the examination/ Interview.

Candidates should pay Rs.150/- through Bank receipt credited to ‘0051-SPSC’ & submitted in the office of the Sikkim Public Service Commission.

PGT: Masters Degree in respective subject with BEd and 8 yrs. (eight years ) of regular service as Graduate Teacher

Candidates will be selected on the bases of performance in Written Examination and Classroom demonstration/ Personality Test/ Interview.
1st Stage: Written Examination (there will be 3 papers)
