Eric Cantor and Steve LaTourette Continue To Wage War Against Conservatives

Steve LaTourette, a former GOP establishment congressman, runs two anti-TeaParty Super PACs; Defending Main Street Super PAC and Republican Main Street Partnership PAC. The former of which has spent $44,000 on mailings against Matt Lynch, a candidate endorsed by FreedomWorks. The PACs favor the big government establishment guy, congressman Dave Joyce. Defending Main Street also contributed $200,000. to big spender Rep. Mike Simpson. The donors to LaTourette’s Super Pacs are primarily labor unions and large corporations. In January Tom Borelli did an expose about LaTourette’s effort to profit from the battle between the Tea Party and the GOP establishment.
George Soros, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and other Leftists groups will help to fund a big “Main Street Advocacy” shindig where they will be wining and dining John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy and many other members of Congress at the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island. The primary goal is to unite people behind defeating conservatives and pushing amnesty through.
Last week radio host Doc Thompson did a big show outlining all of the underhanded activities Eric Cantor has been involved with such as slating in Virginia to undermine conservatives and trading stocks using insider information. Reps. Louie Gohmert and Thomas Massie have accused Cantor and other GOP leaders of subverting the process of our republic with their tactics. Conservatives were especially critical of the GOP leadership’s move to pass a Medicare payment fix with a voice vote instead of a full House roll call vote.
Everything Cantor does exemplifies why we need term limits. Eric Cantor was interviewed by Ryan Nobles on NBC recently in the video below. Nobles asks Cantor to respond to charges made by his opponent Dave Brat about Cantor’s back stabbing attempt to silence conservatives. Cantor tries to dodge it, pretending to be a man of the people, when nothing could be further from the truth. He is one of the biggest members of the Beltway cocktail club and the entire clubhouse is completely out of touch with the American people.
Nobles: He’s been pretty critical of you, on many national radio shows, conservative radio shows in fact, he’s accused you of not being an authentic conservative and he’s also accusing you of manipulating the grassroots of the party in order to engineer some sort of outcome in the primary. How would you respond to some of this criticism that he’s leveled in your direction?
Cantor: Well Ryan, what I believe is that the people in the 7th District of VA aren’t really waking up and looking at jockeying by one person or another or which side is up, which side is down, what they’re worried about frankly, is how they’re going to make it through the month, whether their job is still going to be there, what can Washington do to get out of the way, so they can see America work for them again. How can we go in and have lower health care costs? How can we make sure we address the skyrocketing costs of college tuition? How do you help people? There’s a big difference in Washington and in VA and across America about ways to approach that. I disagree with much of what this President is about and the kind of big government imprint that he wants to leave. I believe strongly in individual responsibility, accountability, the freedom to work, the principle of hard work, I believe we ought to roll back unncessary government regulations to create space for the private sector businesses, communities, churches, places of worship, families to go out and thrive. And I think that what people want to see are those kinds of solutions they want to hear about those of us who are advocating on their behalf so their life can work again and America can be that place where they have a brighter future for themselves and their kids.
Nobles: Before we let you go would you be open at this point to a debate in the primary with Dr. Brat or whoever ends up emerging when the primary is settled, would you be open to a debate in the primary season?
Cantor: Well, we’ll have to see WHEN THE ELECTION SEASON GETS GOING, right now there’s a lot of work to be done on behalf of the people who elected me and the others to Washington to see if we can act and focus on solutions to try to set aside differences and arrive at a better result that can produce a better future.

Eric Cantor is the quintessential poster boy for why we need term limits. Once these people have been in power too long, the oxygen cuts off from their brain. They start to believe they are royalty destined to impose their will on the little people, namely us. They feel the American people are nothing more than mindless sheep, incapable of running their lives and in need to be herded. They start to feel entitled to money, power and privileges as they disrespect their constituents who put them there to begin with. There has to be more accountability for the egregious actions of most of the politicians in Washington. We need to oust any politician who would sell out the American dream and the ideas and values which built this country for a few nights of lobster tails, champagne and caviar.
There is a movement going on across the country by the state legislators to call an Article V convention in order to bypass Congress and force them to balance the budget. While I am thrilled by this endeavor, I believe we need to utilize the Article V process to include other amendments similar to what is outlined in Mark Levin’s book, The Liberty Amendments. When we see the behavior of men like Eric Cantor, John Boehner and many others, let it be a reminder to all of us to call and write our state legislators and ask for term limits to be added to the Convention of States application in your area. The framers never envisioned our federal government to have these lifetime appointees with such overreaching power. It is the exact opposite of what our republic was intended to be when it was designed. The conservative war must be fought on two battle fields; the state government with a convention of the states to amend the Constitution which will bring us back to the rule of law, and the ballot box by electing the most conservative politicians possible on local, state and national levels.
I hope the people of Virginia take a good look at Cantor’s primary challenger, Dave Brat. He is a free market Tea Party libertarian who campaigned for Ken Cuccinelli and Walter Stosch. Brat has support from Larry Nordvig and the Richmond Tea Party. He received a very warm welcome at their meeting since most conservatives and libertarians have had all they can take from Cantor. Dave Brat has a background in theology, economics and business, all skills desperately needed in Washington. It’s time for the people of Virginia to be Eric Cantor’s instant- term limit, give him the boot and show him the exit door!
