Good morning! TGIF my friends. How are you doing today? Do you have any big plans for today or this weekend? I shared a blog post over on Take That Exit yesterday, Lake Wenatchee State Park: Our First 48 hours on the Road. After those busy first couple days yesterday was the closest thing we’ve had to a LAZY day in weeks. We stayed close to the campsite and took many small hikes and adventures to the lake and the nearby river. I taught my son how to skip a rock on the river – and it skipped FOUR times. He was SO excited and I had flashbacks of my dad teaching me the same trick on a small river in the middle of nowhere Alaska. My dad is the skipping rock master – growing up playing on the banks of Montana streams, he’s had lots of practice. 
We even snuck in a nap in the afternoon yesterday – 2 out of 4 of us were asleep but everyone had a couple quiet hours.
I tried for a couple hours yesterday to find some deals to post – but “the deals weren’t poppin” as I like to say. I couldn’t find any in my favorite spots. Some times it’s like that – it’s just a bummer when I’m looking for them and I’ve set aside time to blog. This morning seems to make up for it – Rise and Shine is full this morning!
Later today we pack back up and head to our next “home” on the road. Travel days are going to be the hardest days for me – in terms of worrying. But hopefully we’ll be settled by this afternoon and all will be well.
