Good morning! It’s a beautiful and chilly day in Northern Idaho this morning. Hovering just around 22 degrees with the sun poking through the clouds. Tomorrow will be even colder with a high of 20 degrees and a low of 9 – but it should be SUNNY – which is what I love. Then the snow should start on Thursday!
Tonight I’m making Chicken Santa Fe in the slow cooker – it’s such an easy, versatile dinner. You can serve it over rice, in a “taco” or just plain.
Now that things have slowed down at my house (family has flown home and the funeral services for our grandparents have passed), I want to thank you for being so patient with me this fall. Between moving into a house from the Airstream, transitioning the kids back to school, getting a house set up again and then dealing with the loss of our grandparents it’s been a busy and difficult few months. But y’all have been awesome, patient and supportive – and I’m so grateful for that.
I know that my posts haven’t been as personal lately. I think a big part of that is having the kids back in school and juggling the transition. And then, with so much sad stuff going on lately I haven’t wanted to be a big ole downer by sharing much of our personal life.
But I’m an eternal optimist. I can’t help that. I’m looking forward to the holiday season, to the potential of 2017, to adding new features here on the site and continuing to share my life and journey with you. I’m so grateful for the Queen Bee community and I hope you know that.
